For the location in Venlo we're looking for a Senior Logistics Engineer. The Senior Logistics Engineer is a skilled professional accountable for turning data into meaningful information and developing optimized solutions for the flows of goods, information and money across the customer's supply chain. The Senior Engineer will lead projects with participation from various disciplines to include resources from outside Schneider Logistics: customers / carriers / suppliers / others.
- Provide high quality, low cost, effective and flexible Engineering and Project Management to Schneider Logistics Europe's Accounts, Operations, Alliance Services and Business Development.
- Collect, cleanse, process, analyze and visualize data on the customer's flows of goods, information and money with the appropriate IT tools. Translate data into meaningful information.
- Develop solutions to optimize the flows of material, information and funds across the customer's supply chain.
- Stay current with logistics technology developments in order to translate the department's competence in excellent, customer oriented solutions.
- Provide professional representation of the company with customers and other third parties.
- Lead in the identification or development of internal analysis tools.

 Profil
- Bachelor/Master degree in Logistics, Science, Economics or likewise.
- Experience in Engineering, with at least three years relevant work experience.
- Working knowledge of computer based supply chain optimization, as well as general Operations Research tools.
- Comprehensive project management experience working with multi-disciplinary teams of stakeholders in a project management setting.
- Ability to clearly identify, and work towards business goals.
- Effective interpersonal skills with ability to work closely and productively with others (associates, customers, suppliers).
- Occasional travel required.
- Good knowledge of English, written en spoken, German or French or other language is a big plus
